SST / TCM at Sixty
It is 60 years since the Solid State Theory (now TCM) Group was established in the Cavendish Laboratory. Since then, more than 700 researchers have worked in the group as graduate students, post-docs, visitors, and staff. We could not let this occasion pass without a celebratory event and so we have decided to hold a half-day symposium with a number of research presentations and informal talks on the afternoon of Friday July 10th 2015 followed by a Garden Party around Payne's Pond, and then a dinner at Clare College that evening. We very much hope that alumni will be able to join us for the symposium and/or dinner.
We can arrange accommodation for the night of the 10th (and other nights), if required, at Clare College. If you wish to attend this event, please register. There is no deadline but it would help enormously if you could register before the end of March.
If you have further questions about the event, please feel free to contact Mike Payne (mcp1@cam.ac.uk), Ben Simons (bds10@cam.ac.uk) or the group administrator, Alan Clarke (ac771@cam.ac.uk).
We very much hope that you will be able to return to celebrate with us in July!
